The 81 Produce agency annouced that Miyu Matsuki passed away on October 27 due to illness. On July, she annouced that she took a break from voice acting due to an pneumonia which resulted her death. She said at the time that she had a fever since the start of the year that wouldn't recede, and then found out she had acute pneumonia after repeatedly going to the hospital for check-ups.
Matsuki provided the voice of few Pokémon characters in the series, her roles in Pokémon Anime include Caitlin in the episode Jostling for the Junior Cup! and Timmy, one of the Brock's siblings in the epsiode A Family That Battles Together Stays Together!.
Matsuki's famous non-Pokémon roles include Kū-ko in Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!, Isumi Saginomiya in Hayate the Combat Butler, Magical Sapphire in Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, and most recently as Anna Nishikinomiya in SHIMONETA: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist. She also performed theme songs for Love Love?, Zoku Sayonara Zetsubō Sensei, and Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!. She's also scheluded to play the role in an upcoming anime series, Charlotte Dimandias, prior to her death.
