'Genesect and the Legend Awakened' to premiere on CITV

The sixteenth Pokémon movie, Genesect and the Legend Awakened, will premiere on CITV in the United Kingdom on Oct. 19, 2013. This is the same date as the US premiere on Cartoon Newtork. A sneak peek of Pokémon the Series: XY will air on Oct. 19 and 20, 2013.
The movie will air at 9:25 a.m. on the CITV Movie Club. After the movie's debut, the first episode of Pokémon the Series: XY will air at 11:35 a.m., followed by the second episode at 11:35 a.m. the next day. The full season will air on CITV in 2014.
This movie stars Red Genesect and Mega Mewtwo. Five Genesect, led by the Red Genesect, endanger an unnamed big city's power supply, attracting the attention of Mewtwo. Ash and friends must intervene when the Genesect's leader confronts Mewtwo.

| “ London, UK—Sept. 10, 2013—In celebration of the October 12th worldwide release of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, CITV will host a special Pokémon animation event on Saturday, October 19 th. Pokémon fans in the UK can catch the debut of Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened, starring the extremely powerful Red Genesect and Mega Mewtwo, followed by a sneak peek of the first two episodes from the newest Pokémon animated series season, Pokémon the Series: XY. The brand-new season is set in the world introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y and features never-before-seen Pokémon like Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.
Tune into the CITV Movie Club on October 19th at 9:25 A.M. to watch the debut of Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened. Five Genesect have invaded the big city and threaten its power supply, attracting the attention of Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, whose motives are unknown. Ash, Pikachu, and friends must come to the rescue when the Genesects’ powerful leader, Red Genesect, confronts Mewtwo! The movie features the Mega-Evolved form of Mewtwo, Mega Mewtwo, which appears for the first time in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Fans can also battle with Red Genesect when the Pokémon TCG: Red Genesect Collection arrives at retail stores nationwide on September 25th. This new Pokémon TCG collection includes a Red Genesect theme deck, a limited edition collector’s pin, and more. Following the movie, a very special sneak peek of the first two episodes of Pokémon the Series: XY will air on CITV at 11:35 A.M. on both the 19 and 20 of October, introducing fans to Ash and Pikachu’s brand-new adventures in the Kalos region. Beginning October 19 th the current season of the Pokémon animated series on CITV, Pokémon: Black & White Adventures in Unova and Beyond introduces some exciting new Pokémon and characters from Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
