The Pikachu Edition New Nintendo 2DS XL will be released in Europe and Australia on January 26, 2018, the same day as the 3DS Virtual Console release of Pokémon Crystal. This special edition New Nintendo 2DS XL is yellow and features a Pikachu design on the cover.

It was released in Japan on Nov. 17, 2017 (the release date of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon) exclusively at Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, the Pokémon Center Online, and the Pokémon EXPO Gym Official Shop.
