CoroCoro Comics has revealed that there will be three presents for seeing the 16th movie in Japan. A Shiny Genesect event has been announced for Japan. Shiny Genesect will be level 100, and have the OT of 「えいがかん」 Cinema. The Shiny Genesect has moves that it will use in the movie: ExtremeSpeed, Blaze Kick, and Shift Gear, which are moves it normally cannot learn. It will hold a Choice Scarf and have the Ability Download. It is available for the Pokémon Black and White and Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 games.

The Mewtwo event that was announced previously will be available from June 15 until Sept. 1 for those who pre-ordered tickets for the movie. It will be level 100, and have the moves Psystrike, Ice Beam, Heal Pulse and Hurricane. It will hold a Custap Berry and have the Wishing Ribbon. It will have its Hidden Ability Unnerve, and will be in a Cherish Ball. It is available for the Pokémon Black and White and Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 games. It will be distributed at Pokémon Center stores via infared.

A special Red Genesect Pokémon Tretta will be given away to the first three million children of middle-school age or lower who watch the movie. Red Genesect's attack is X-Scissor. It is the first differently-colored Tretta.
