Maddie Blaustein, the voice of Meowth in the English-language Pokémon dub from 1998-2006, died while sleeping on Thursday, PokéBeach and Serebii.net are reporting. An official statement on behalf of Blaustein's family and colleagues is expected on Wednesday, according to PokéBeach.
PokéBeach's anonymous source said Blaustein, 48, had reported not feeling well before she went to sleep and subsequently died.
Bulbanews has read a transcript of the conversation between PokéBeach and the anonymous source affiliated with 4Kids Entertainment and believes the transcript and the source to be authentic.
