Nintendo of Japan has begun offering free Wi-Fi downloads of trial versions of some of its most popular Nintendo DS games, including Pokémon Dash.
Other games offered include Sonic Rush, Nintendogs and beginning Dec. 15, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time.
This service is currenly available only in Japan. Meanwhile, in the United States, Nintendo of America has begun providing free Nintendo DS Wi-Fi service at McDonald's restaurants. Gamers who have other broadband or Wi-Fi access can reach the DS Wi-Fi network with a special USB connector for computers sold only on Nintendo's Web site.
