Pokemon.com's mailbag section has responded to fan speculation about the possibility of a theatrical release of the 10th Pokémon movie. The mailbag confirms that The Rise of Darkrai will be released straight to DVD some time after its Feb. 24 premiere on Cartoon Network.
Fans began to speculate about the possibility of a theatrical release following a comment at the end of Cartoon Network's special airing of three Diamond and Pearl episodes on Friday that the movie would be on Cartoon Network "months before" coming to theaters, but today's news dispelled any such rumors.
