Maddie Blaustein, the voice of Meowth in the English-language Pokémon dub from 1998-2006, died while sleeping on Thursday, PokéBeach and Serebii.net reported today. A blogger for 4Kids Entertainment later confirmed Blaustein's death. An official statement from Blaustein's family and colleagues is expected to come Wednesday, PokéBeach reports.
PokéBeach's anonymous source said Blaustein, 48, from New York, had reported not feeling well before she went to sleep and subsequently died.
