A preview for Best Wishes! season 2 aired at the end of BW079, and it has revealed information on the upcoming season.
- In a shipyard located in the eastern part of the Unova region, Cynthia, along with Ash, Iris and Cilan, are in an area with wild Water-type Pokémon from previous generations, including Wingull, Wailord, Remoraid, Staryu and Krabby.
- Dawn is shown with her unchanged party and is with the gang. However, it seems that her Piplup and Ash's Oshawott have a rivalry over the legendary Pokémon Meloetta. Meanwhile, Dawn's Buneary walks up to Pikachu and still has a crush on him, much to Oshawott's dismay.
- Additionally, Dawn and Iris are seen running away from an Onix after Iris and her Axew are seen being shocked by a Magnemite.
- A few scenes from the World Tournament Junior Cup, featuring a match between Cynthia, the Sinnoh League Champion, battling Caitlin, a Unova Elite Four member, are shown. Cynthia commands her Garchomp to use Dragon Rush while Caitlin commands her Gothitelle to use an Electric-type move.
- A battle between the Dragon-type Pokémon Dragonite and Hydreigon is also featured.
- The preview ends with Iris feeling a strange vibe from the Dragonite.
Pocket Monsters Best Wishes! season 2 is set to make its premiere on TV Tokyo on June 21.
