A preview for Best Wishes! season 2 aired at the end of BW079, and it has revealed information on the upcoming season.

In a shipyard located in the eastern part of the Unova region, Cynthia, along with Ash, Iris and Cilan, are in an area with wild Water-type Pokémon from previous generations, including Wingull, Wailord, Remoraid, Staryu and Krabby.
Dawn is shown with her unchanged party and is with the gang. However, it seems that her Piplup and Ash's Oshawott have a rivalry over the legendary Pokémon Meloetta. Meanwhile, Dawn's Buneary walks up to Pikachu and still has a crush on him, much to Oshawott's dismay.
Additionally, Dawn and Iris are seen running away from an Onix after Iris and her Axew are seen being shocked by a Magnemite.
A few scenes from the World Tournament Junior Cup, featuring a match between Cynthia, the Sinnoh League Champion, battling Caitlin, a Unova Elite Four member, are shown. Cynthia commands her Garchomp to use Dragon Rush while Caitlin commands her Gothitelle to use an Electric-type move.
A battle between the Dragon-type Pokémon Dragonite and Hydreigon is also featured.
The preview ends with Iris feeling a strange vibe from the Dragonite.
