The Nearby feature is now available in more locations, being expanded throughout North America and Europe. This feature allows players to see the nearest PokéStop to a wild Pokémon if it there is a PokéStop near the player. The Sightings feature has also been updated in these areas to support the Nearby feature.

This feature has now been expanded to the whole of the continental United States and large parts of Europe.

This feature was originally being tested in San Francisco, California in the United States. It was recently expanded to the United States west of the Mississippi River (except Hawaii and Alaska), some Canadian provinces, and Australia.

Announcement

We will be expanding the Nearby Pokémon feature to the rest of the continental United States and large parts of Europe. We will continue to review the feedback submitted on our official social media accounts and in other channels and make changes if necessary.
