Figures to be exclusively available from GameStop in U.S.
Pokémon Rumble U was released exclusively on the Nintendo Wii U eShop back in April in Japan, becoming the first title for the console that takes advantage of its NFC reader, which allows players to interact with the game using actual figures (which are purchased separately). Today, The Pokémon Company International announced that the title will be released on the European Nintendo eShop from August 15th before being released in North America two weeks later on the 29th.
In North America, the game's figures will be available exclusively from GameStop for $3.99 each and will be sold in random sealed packets, much like how they are purchased in Japan through capsule machines. In regards to Europe, no statement has currently been made about the availability of the figures.
