Several Pokémon events have been announced to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Pokémon Centers in Japan. A tournament will be held to commemorate the giveaways. Each of the seven Pokémon are level 100 and come in a Cherish Ball. Each Pokémon is picked from the logos of each Pokémon Center.

Pikachu will be distributed for Pokémon Center Tokyo from May 29 until June 4. Torterra will be distributed for Pokémon Center Yokohama from June 5 until June 11. Each of the Pokémon will be available at every Pokémon Center, including the Pokémon Center that the Pokémon is based off of.

From July 3 until July 7, a random Pokémon from that group can be received. It is possible to receive a duplicate of a Pokémon that was received earlier. The Pokémon Center this event is available for is unknown at this time. These Pokémon are available for the Pokémon Black and White and Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 games. The Pokémon are banned from the GTS.

If the player shows the Pokémon they received to a staff member at the Pokémon Center, they will get a Battle Enhancement Guide With Postcard for that Pokémon. Lottery winners will battle against other players from other Pokémon Centers that won the lottery. Their battles will be shown live on screens in the Pokémon Centers. The tournament on July 6 is a Double Battles 4 vs 4 tournament; there is no age limit for this tournament.
