A Shiny Mimikyu will be distributed for Pokémon Sun and Moon at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores in Japan from September 22 to November 16, 2017.

This Mimikyu is being distributed as part of the "Disguised! Sparkling Ghost Party!" campaign. It is a promotional campaign that celebrates Halloween. The Mimikyu distribution spans the entire campaign.
