The official Pokémon GTS website has just announced that it will be closing on Sept. 14. Today, the site put a link on the main page that leads to a notice that says: | |||

This action may probably be due to the Japanese release of {{game|Black and White|s}}, which takes place Sept. 18. The new pair of games involves features that allow players to play their games on their computers through features like ''Dream World'', where players may obtain Pokémon that have unusual features, such as having abilities they may not normally have. These features can be used on a new website known as '' Pokémon Global Link''. | |||

Prior to the release of {{game|HeartGold and SoulSilver|s}}, the site used the {{bp|Generation II}} artwork of certain Pokémon.
