New Mega Evolutions revealed during Nintendo Direct: Difference between revisions

During Nintendo Direct, the second UStream Nintendo has done for {{bp|Pokémon Versions X and Y|Pokémon XY}}, they revealed among other things, three more {{bp|Mega Evolution|Mega Evolutions}}. The player was shown as having to wear a bracelet described as a '''Mega Ring'''. This ring holds a key stone that corresponds with the Pokémon's Mega Stone. When the trainer's bond is strong enough, they can get their Pokémon to Mega Evolve.  

The Pokémon revealed were the three {{bp|Kanto (Region)|Kanto}} starters, {{bp|Charizard (Pokémon)|Charizard}}, {{bp|Blastoise (Pokémon)|Blastoise}} and {{bp|Venusaur (Pokémon)|Venusaur}}. All three Pokémon retain their original type during the Mega Evolution.  

Mega Venusaur will have the ability {{bp|Thick Fat (Ability)|Thick Fat}}. Mega Charizard gains {{bp|Drought (Ability)|Drought}} as its ability. Mega Blastoise gains the Mega Launcher ability, which increases the power on moves like Water Pulse and Dark Pulse.

These three join the already announced Mega Pokémon of {{bp|Lucario(Pokémon)|Lucario}}, {{bp|Mewtwo(Pokémon)|Mewtwo}}, {{bp|Kangaskhan(Pokémon)|Kangaskhan}}, {{bp|Ampharos(Pokémon)|Ampharous}}, {{bp|Blaziken(Pokémon)|Blaziken}}, {{bp|Mawile(Pokémon)|Mawile}} and {{bp|Absol(Pokémon)|Absol}}.
