A new series of Amiibo figures for the {{bp|Wii U}} and {{bp|New Nintendo 3DS}} were revealed during the January 14th Nintendo Direct, and among this set is a {{bp|Charizard}} figure. This figure is compatible with {{bp|Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U|Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U}}, and will be compatible with the {{bp|Nintendo 3DS}} version following a software update for the game in February. This set is planned for a Spring release.
