Two new Pokémon Nintendo 3DS themes have been released in Japan, with one of them also being released worldwide.

The theme "Pokémon: Champion Steven" features Pokémon Champion Steven Stone, along with his party from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (Cradily, Armaldo, Skarmory, Claydol, Aggron, and Mega Metagross). The lower screen features black-and-white panels featuring Steven drawn in the style of manga (with Japanese text even in the English release). The background music is "Battle! (Steven)" from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It costs ¥200/AU$2.60/€1.99/£1.79.

The theme "Pokémon: XY Heroine" features Serena, the female player character from Pokémon X and Y. She is in her default player character appearance. Various Pokémon are also featured, and the Battle Chatelaines appear on the touch screen. The background music is "Wonder Trade" from Pokémon X and Y. It costs ¥200.
