Water Festival 2018

The Water Festival is returning to Pokémon GO and starts June 7, 1:00 PM PDT and ends June 21. Water-type Pokémon such as Magikarp and Wailmer will appear more frequently in the wild. Players can also encounter rare Shiny Shellder, which hasn't previously been in the game.

Players will be able to earn 3× Stardust for catching Water-type Pokémon. In addition, 2 km Eggs will hatch Pokémon such as Totodile, Mudkip, and Corphish. On top of that, players can earn Double Candy and Stardust for every Egg hatched.

Raid Battles will feature powerful Water-type Pokémon, including the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre. If players successfully challenge Kyogre, there is a chance players will encounter its Shiny form.
