The EverGrande tournament has ended, and Satoshi & co. each return to their respective homes. On the way home, he passes a nostalgic location, Viridian Gym, which has been rebuilt. At that very moment, a suspicious man with sunglasses appears. His name is Enishida. He explains the purpose of the new battle facility, the Battle Frontier, to Satoshi.
